Plateau State Attack: Fulani Militias Leave 19-Year-Old Dead, Two Injured

A brutal attack has occurred in Plateau State, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old woman and injuring two others. The incident took place at Gana Ropp village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area. According to credible security sources, the attack happened on August 14, 2026, at about 10:45 p.m. when suspected Fulani militias struck. Troops from Sector 4, Operation ENDURING PEACE, responded promptly to a distress call and found the lifeless body of Miss Asamau Saleh, 19, who had been shot dead. Two other victims, Aminu Saleh, 26, and Stephen Monday, 28, were found with gunshot wounds and were immediately evacuated by the troops to the Barkin Ladi General Hospital for medical attention. The security personnel have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators and are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those responsible.
