Oyo Police Nab 10 Suspects, Uncover Human Parts in Raid

In a significant breakthrough, the Oyo State Police Command has apprehended 10 individuals suspected of engaging in the illicit trade of human body parts. This revelation was made public by the command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, in a statement issued to journalists on Saturday in Ibadan. According to Ayanlade, the arrests were the culmination of months of meticulous intelligence gathering and covert surveillance conducted by the command's monitoring unit. The suspects were apprehended in separate hideouts located in the Iseyin and Saki areas of the state. Upon conducting thorough searches of the suspects' hideouts, operatives recovered several suspected human parts, including a human heart, human flesh, pieces of a human skull, and an assortment of charms. These recovered items have been secured for forensic examination and further investigation. The suspects are currently cooperating with investigators to unravel the circumstances surrounding the source, procurement, and intended use of the recovered exhibits. Ayanlade further stated that efforts are underway to identify and apprehend other members of the syndicate. The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abimbola Olugbenga, commended the operatives for their diligent and professional approach to the operation. He assured the public that the command remains committed to eliminating criminal elements and protecting human life in the state.
