Among his widely circulated pronouncements were statements like, "Don't get married; women, they use marriage as a tool to destroy men." He also declared, "Marriage is a financial mistake, don't marry," and famously asserted, "Marriage na scam," adding, "Men shouldn't get married." Furthermore, he championed the idea that "Baby mama is the new way to go. Marriage is old fashioned."

In a surprising turn of events, Gehgeh himself tied the knot this past weekend in Minna. The dissemination of celebratory photos and videos from his wedding, showing him joyfully dancing, quickly led to widespread criticism from men online. His male audience largely accused him of hypocrisy, suggesting he misled them with his relationship advice, only to eventually embrace the very institution he condemned.

Responding to the uproar on X (formerly Twitter), Gehgeh challenged his critics to provide evidence of him ever explicitly telling them to avoid marriage. He posted, "I never for once told y’all not to get married. Did I ? If yes show me a video of me telling you not to marry." In response, numerous men flooded his X replies, presenting multiple video clips of Gehgeh himself stating that marriage is outdated, that spending on a bride's dowry constitutes a financial blunder, and that having baby mamas is the preferred modern alternative.
