FCT Aide Lere Olayinka Demands Headmaster's Arrest Over Viral Pupils' Deliverance Video

Full Story
A viral video depicting primary school pupils engaged in an intense religious 'deliverance' session during official school hours has sparked outrage, leading to a demand for the headmaster's arrest and prosecution. Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), initiated this call for legal action.
The trending footage, which Olayinka shared across his social media platforms, shows young primary school students screaming, crying, and seemingly praying in tongues. This highly emotional scene reportedly took place inside a classroom and was part of an organized revival programme led by a visiting clergyman.
Reacting strongly to the incident, the FCT Ministerial Aide insisted that the leadership of the school must face legal consequences for allowing such activities to occur on school premises. Olayinka specifically stated that the headmaster should be apprehended and incarcerated for granting permission for a religious revival programme that significantly disrupted formal learning hours.
