An online debate has erupted concerning relationship dynamics, after a Nigerian man made remarks suggesting Kenyan women lack understanding of marriage. The man claimed Kenyan women tend to end marriages prematurely, arguing that men, being human, are prone to making mistakes, yet Kenyan partners offer no grace, opting for immediate separation.

Responding to this assertion, Kenyan woman Ajusa Atieno countered sharply, stating that Nigerian women are what she terms 'pick mes' because they place a higher value on marriage than on their self-respect. According to Atieno, this explains why Nigerian women often remain in relationships with Nigerian men, while Kenyan women are quick to exit over 'small things.'

Atieno elaborated on her stance through a written statement: "There's a Nigerian man claiming Kenyan women don't understand marriage. A small thing and we are out.
