Plateau: Abducted Rafiki Village Resident Recovers Freedom After Security Intervention

Mr. Patrick Gazu, a resident of Rafiki Village in Plateau State's Bassa Local Government Area, has been successfully released after being held captive by suspected kidn*ppers. His freedom was secured following persistent efforts by military personnel from Sector 3, Operation Enduring Peace, alongside other security operatives involved in the rescue mission.
Gazu was reportedly abducted from his home in Rafiki Village late on September 30, 2025, specifically around 11:57 p.m. Sources within the security apparatus confirmed that he has since been reunited safely with his family.
In the aftermath of his release, security agencies have initiated a comprehensive search operation to track down and apprehend those responsible for the abduction. Security analyst Zagazola Makama emphasized the significance of this rescue, stating, "The successful release underscores the continued efforts by security forces and other agencies to rescue victims of kidn*pping and disrupt criminal activities across Plateau State."
