Tragedy Unfolds in Scotland as Couple Found Dead in Remote Cottage

A devastating incident has occurred in a remote cottage on the outskirts of Renfrewshire, Scotland, where a husband and wife, identified as Stacy Mair, 35, and Jim Mair, 43, were found dead. The couple, who were married in 2019, worked together at TRS Tree Surgery, a company based in Glasgow. According to reports, police received a call at 7:50 am on Monday, 27 July, expressing concern for a person in the Corsliehill Road area. Upon arrival, emergency services discovered the bodies of the couple. The police are currently treating their deaths as unexplained and are conducting post-mortem examinations to determine the cause of death. A Police Scotland spokesperson stated, 'An investigation is ongoing into the deaths of a 35-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man in the Houston area.' The spokesperson added that extensive enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. The relatives of the couple have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. The area around the cottage has been cordoned off, with detectives and officers conducting forensic examinations. At this time, the police do not believe that anyone else was involved in the incident.
