Authorities in Anambra State have secured the remand of a couple, Mr. Chukwudi Chukwuyere, 40, and Mrs. Chisom Chukwuyere, 30, at a Correctional Centre. The duo is accused of involvement in the severe abuse of a 10-year-old boy residing in Isiowulu, within Anambra State.
Their court appearance followed the completion of initial investigations by the Anambra State Police Command into the disturbing case. The incident had previously drawn considerable public outrage and attention, particularly after distressing reports and video evidence featuring the young victim circulated widely across various social media platforms.
