Celebrity Chef Eric Adjepong Faces Restriction Over Alleged Child Abuse

A Maryland court has handed down a one-year protective order against popular chef and television personality, Eric Adjepong, following allegations of physical abuse against his seven-year-old daughter, Lennox. According to a report by the Washington Post, the order, which became effective on July 10, was issued after the court found sufficient evidence to believe that Adjepong had indeed abused his child. As a result, the 38-year-old Ghanaian-American chef, who rose to fame after appearing on Top Chef: Kentucky and Top Chef All-Stars, is currently barred from having any direct contact with his daughter without proper supervision. The protective order, which is set to expire on July 10, 2027, also prohibits Adjepong from harassing, abusing, or threatening his daughter and estranged spouse, Janelle Davis-Mack. Although Adjepong is permitted to see his daughter, all visits must be supervised, and he is required to undergo parenting classes and reunification therapy before he can have unsupervised contact with Lennox. In response to the allegations, Adjepong has maintained his innocence, stating that he intends to protect his daughter's privacy and will not publicly discuss the matter, which he claims arose from a long-standing divorce and custody dispute that concluded on June 2, 2026. Adjepong has become a household name in the culinary world, hosting several Food Network programs, including Alex vs. America and Wildcard Kitchen.
