Unruly Child Causes Flight Cancellation from Victoria to Toronto

A recent incident involving a young child who refused to follow safety instructions has led to the cancellation of a Porter flight. According to the airline, the child, whose age has not been disclosed, stood up in their seat and would not buckle up, despite repeated attempts by the parent and crew to secure them. As a result, the plane was forced to return to the terminal at Victoria International Airport in British Columbia, and the parent and child were removed from the flight. The incident caused a significant delay, pushing the flight past the airport's 12:30 am runway closure time. Consequently, the remaining passengers had to disembark, and the flight was eventually cancelled. Porter has apologized to the affected passengers, who were rebooked on a flight the following day. The new flight departed from Victoria Airport at 10:49 pm local time on Friday and arrived in Toronto at 6:16 am local time on Saturday. The airline has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to the actions of the unruly child.
