Adeleke's Son Expresses Confidence in Father's Re-election Bid

As the collation of results for the Osun State governorship election commenced on Saturday, singer and businessman B-Red, who is the son of incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, expressed his optimism about his father's chances of emerging victorious. B-Red took to social media platform X to share his thoughts, stating that he could see the joy and happiness on his father's face as the election progressed. In his post, he wrote, 'Sitting with my dad and I can see the joy and happiness on his face .... 4 + 4 = 8 OSUN.' Governor Adeleke, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the Accord Party after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party, is facing stiff competition from other contenders, including the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, and the African Democratic Congress candidate, Najeem Salaam. The election, which is being held across the state's 30 Local Government Areas and 3,763 polling units, has been largely peaceful, although there have been reports of isolated incidents, including challenges with BVAS accreditation and disruptions at some locations. Earlier, Governor Adeleke had called on security agencies to protect voters, election officials, and collation centres, while urging residents to remain peaceful and allow the electoral process to run its course. As the governor and his supporters await the outcome of the keenly contested election, B-Red's post has given an insight into the mood of the Adeleke camp.
