Anti-Immigrant Slurs Target Former Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, in South Africa

Chidimma Adetshina, a former Miss Universe Nigeria, has reportedly been subjected to anti-immigrant abuse by South African women while her deportation case is ongoing.
Last month, authorities in Cape Town took Adetshina into custody following allegations that she was residing in the country without proper documentation.
She is currently engaged in legal proceedings, seeking to prevent her imminent deportation by the South African Department of Home Affairs. Her latest appearance was on Monday at the Cape Town Regional Court, where her hearing was postponed to August 19.
Viral footage circulating across social media platforms depicts several South African women directing xenophobic insults at the beauty queen, urging her to depart their nation and return to her country of origin, which they referred to as “home.” The women's derogatory remarks were clearly captured in the widely shared video.
