Trump Alleges Iran Asked for Doha Talks Despite Tehran's Rejection

United States President Donald Trump has asserted that Iran initiated a request for a meeting scheduled to take place on Tuesday in Doha, the capital of the Gulf nation, Qatar. This declaration comes despite an earlier denial from Tehran regarding any planned discussions.
On Monday, President Trump shared the information via his Truth Social platform, stating emphatically, “IRAN HAS REQUESTED A MEETING. IT WILL TAKE PLACE TOMORROW IN DOHA!”
However, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs contradicted these claims on the same Monday. The ministry explicitly refuted reports suggesting that technical teams from Iran and America were slated to convene this week. These purported meetings were reportedly intended to deliberate on the implementation of an agreement aimed at resolving the conflict in the Middle East.
