Adamawa Road Mishap Tragically Claims Six Lives

The Adamawa State Police Command has verified that six individuals tragically lost their lives in a fatal motor accident on Friday along the Yola-Girei Road. In a statement released on Friday by the command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, initial reports indicated the unfortunate passing of six people in the crash.
Nguroje confirmed that “The victims were rushed to a hospital where they were confirmed dead.” He added that police operatives from the Girei Divisional Headquarters, Federal Housing, and the Central Motor Traffic Division were promptly mobilized to the scene. Their swift action aimed at evacuating the casualties and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic.
Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Hassan, extended his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased, offering prayers for the peaceful repose of their souls. He appealed for calm among the populace and urged motorists to exercise extreme caution, strictly adhere to traffic regulations, and avoid overspeeding to prevent further loss of lives.
According to investigations by The PUNCH, this recent tragedy marks the fourth accident recorded on the Yola-Girei Road in less than a month, with these incidents collectively claiming the lives of over ten people.
