Peel Regional Police in Ontario, Canada, have confirmed the arrest and charging of a Nigerian national, Olusegun Onidare, 33, in connection with the alleged s£xual assault of two women. The incidents, which reportedly occurred in separate locations within Brampton, Ontario, took place on Monday, August 31.

Authorities released a statement on Wednesday, September 2, detailing the events. Initially, police were searching for an unidentified male after two women reported being s£xually assaulted on the same day.

The first incident involved a woman in her twenties who was reportedly s£xually assaulted by the suspect, later identified as Mr. Onidare, while shopping inside a mall located in the Dixie Road and Clark Boulevard area of Brampton.

Later on that Monday, a second incident occurred at a transit terminal situated near Central Park Drive and Queen Street East. Here, the suspect allegedly approached an underage girl, initiated a conversation with her, and then proceeded to s£xually assault her.

The Peel Regional Police stated: “On Monday, August 31, two females were allegedly s€xually assaulted in separate incidents in Brampton by an unknown male. In the first incident, a woman in her 20s was shopping at a mall in the area of Dixie Road and Clark Boulevard when the suspect allegedly approached and s€xually assaulted her. “Later that day, a female under the age of 18 was waiting at a transit terminal in the area of Central Park Drive and Queen Street East when the suspect allegedly approached her, engaged her in conversation, and then s€xually assaulted her.”

Following these reports, law enforcement declared Mr. Onidare a wanted individual. His identification and subsequent arrest were facilitated by a member of the public who recognized him from a police release.

The police further confirmed his charges, stating: “A member of the public recognized the male pictured in the previous news release and contacted police, investigators arrested Olusegun Onidare, a 33-year-old male of no fixed address. “He has been charged with the following offences: S£xual Assault x 2 and Breach of Probation Order.”

Mr. Onidare, who is described as having no fixed address, is currently being held in custody and awaits a bail hearing.
