Zambian Model Lisa Mutambo D!es Following Night Out, Police Probe

Authorities in Zambia have initiated an investigation into the sudden d!eath of popular 25-year-old model and socialite, Lisa Mutambo. She reportedly vomited and became unconscious at her home in Lusaka’s Kalundu area after spending an evening out with companions.

Contrary to widespread social media speculation that suggested Mutambo was beaten to d!eath by her boyfriend, police have stated that no physical injuries were found on her body. The incident was brought to the attention of Chelstone Police Station at approximately 09:30 hours on Thursday, August 2026. Police reports indicate that her passing occurred between 03:30 and 04:30 hours at Victoria Hospital.

According to Chipo Kaitisha, the deputy police spokesperson, Lisa Mutambo had spent the preceding evening with two female friends at a particular hotel where she held an ambassadorial role. The trio departed the hotel around 22:30 hours and proceeded to another drinking establishment in Lusaka to continue their social activities.

Between 02:30 and 03:00 hours, Mutambo’s boyfriend, identified as Caleb Lisa (also known as Andrea, or Andrew Chimba on Facebook), arrived and collected the three women. He subsequently dropped off the two friends in the Minestone/Casanova district before returning to the Kalundu residence he shared with Lisa. Upon their arrival at the residence, Lisa reportedly began vomiting and subsequently lost consciousness.

Her boyfriend then contacted a friend for assistance, and together they transported her to Victoria Hospital, where she was regrettably pronounced d!ead upon arrival. Law enforcement officers have since processed both the primary scene (the residence) and the secondary scene (the hospital) as part of their comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her d!eath. Her remains were initially moved to FSG Mortuary before being transferred to the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

Police reiterated that no physical injuries were observed on the body. An official inquiry file has been opened, and investigations are ongoing to ascertain the full details surrounding Lisa’s unexpected demise. Kaitisha affirmed, “The Zambia Police Service will provide further information as investigations progress.”
