NDLEA Foils Cocaine Smuggling Attempts in Wooden Mortar, Modified Backpack

In a recent operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has successfully thwarted attempts by drug traffickers to smuggle cocaine out of the country. The agency's Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this information in a statement released on Sunday. According to Babafemi, the NDLEA officers discovered cocaine hidden inside a traditional wooden mortar, which is commonly used for pounding yams and grains, and was being shipped to China. Furthermore, another shipment of cocaine destined for Italy was found concealed in the false bottom of a specially modified backpack, hidden among lace materials. Babafemi warned the public to be cautious when accepting parcels to deliver, emphasizing that possession is a key factor in liability. The NDLEA's efforts to combat drug trafficking and smuggling are ongoing, and the agency remains committed to protecting the country from the illicit drug trade.
