Odumodublvck Embroiled in N54.5 Million Lawsuit Over Alleged Assault at Flytime Music Festival

A lawsuit has been filed against Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck by Chocolate City Limited, stemming from an alleged physical assault on one of the company's employees during the 2025 Flytime Music Festival in Lagos. The incident, which occurred on December 22, 2025, at the Eko Convention Centre, has led to a court case with the employee, Tochukwugbubemi Ojogwe, seeking N54.5 million in damages. According to court documents, Ojogwe was carrying out his professional duties backstage when Odumodublvck approached him and allegedly initiated a violent confrontation without provocation. The claimant alleges that the rapper struck him in the face and pushed him, resulting in medical expenses and lost income. The lawsuit claims that the incident occurred during the festive season, a busy period in the entertainment industry, and disrupted Ojogwe's professional engagements, including a scheduled trip outside Nigeria with a Chocolate City artiste. Ojogwe is seeking compensation for medical expenses, including N2 million for consultation and medication, N1 million for ancillary medical costs, and N1.5 million for out-of-pocket expenses. Additionally, he is claiming N50 million for alleged financial losses, representing income from delayed project deliverables, estimated loss of productivity, and missed engagements. The lawsuit also alleges that the incident caused physical pain, emotional distress, and reputational damage, with Ojogwe experiencing anxiety, loss of confidence, and apprehension in his personal and professional interactions. The case is expected to proceed before the Lagos State High Court, where both parties will present evidence in support of their positions. Odumodublvck has not publicly responded to the allegations contained in the court documents.
