A 36-year-old man, Asad Hussain, hailing from Heald Green, Cheadle in the UK, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for a disturbing stalking campaign. Hussain was convicted at Chester Crown Court of stalking, assault, and failing to disclose the PIN for an iPad seized during the police investigation.

The court heard that Hussain briefly dated the victim after initially connecting with her on social media in April 2024, using the alias "Mick Renney." The relationship ended when the victim could no longer tolerate his jealous and controlling behaviour. Following the breakup, prosecutors alleged that Hussain initiated a prolonged period of harassment.

His campaign included creating a fraudulent Tinder profile in the woman's name. Through this fake profile, he invited numerous men to her residence, falsely claiming she desired to engage in a "r@pe fantasy." Messages sent to these men reportedly instructed them that if she uttered "no," it signified she "wanted it more."

Approximately 35 men reportedly appeared at the victim's address as a result of Hussain's actions. On one occasion, three men arrived simultaneously, with Hussain allegedly encouraging them to gain entry by telling them to "give the porch door a good shove." One of these men successfully forced his way in after breaking a glass panel in the porch door.

Beyond the Tinder scheme, the court also heard evidence that Hussain frequently visited the victim's home late at night during their relationship. On one instance, he grabbed her wrist in an attempt to seize her phone, causing her to fall and injure her arm. He also contacted her daughter and friends, spreading accusations of infidelity and attempting to rekindle their ended relationship.

In a powerful victim impact statement, the woman conveyed the profound terror of the ordeal, stating that her home, once a sanctuary, no longer felt safe. She expressed ongoing fear that someone might still appear at her door. "My home, my safe space, has been violated all because one person created a completely fictional narrative," she declared, adding that she now struggles with sleep, has difficulty eating, and lives in constant worry for her safety.

Throughout the police investigation and even after his conviction, Hussain denied any wrongdoing, with his defence lawyer stating he maintained he had "not done anything wrong." In addition to the prison sentence, Judge Michael Leeming issued a 15-year restraining order, prohibiting Hussain from making any contact with the victim or her daughters.

Following the verdict, Cheshire Police described the case as one of the most technically complex and profoundly disturbing stalking investigations their force had ever undertaken, noting that the actual number of men deceived into visiting the victim's home might never be fully known.
