A 28-year-old Indian clothing merchant, Rahul Khosla, tragically ended his life by hanging himself inside his shop in Faridabad's Ballabhgarh area on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Prior to his death, Khosla, a resident of Sector 3 Housing Board Colony, uploaded a video on Instagram where he accused his wife and her relatives of subjecting him to severe physical and mental abuse.

According to police reports, Khosla departed from his home that Sunday morning after meeting his mother, heading to his garment business, which he had established just four months prior. He was later discovered deceased, hanging within the premises of the shop. The incident came to light around 11 am when Rahul's brother, Amit, viewed the distressing video on Instagram and immediately rushed to the shop accompanied by other family members. Upon finding the shop's door locked from the inside, they forced open the glass entrance, but Rahul had already passed away.

Law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and transported it to BK Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination. In the video recorded before his demise, Rahul stated that he had entered a love marriage with Jyoti, also known as Preeti, two years ago. However, he claimed that since then, he had endured relentless physical and mental torment from his wife, his mother-in-law Veena, his father-in-law Bittu, and his sister-in-law Neetu.

Rahul further alleged that despite diligently performing household chores, including sweeping and washing utensils, his wife repeatedly assaulted him. He also asserted that his wife insisted on living separately from his parents and had lodged a false assault complaint against him just two days prior, which had caused him immense mental distress. In his final message, Rahul called for legal action against his wife and her family, specifying that his assets should be inherited by his mother, siblings, and other family members.

Following a formal complaint filed by Rahul's family and in consideration of the allegations made in the video, Sector 3 police have officially registered a case against his wife, her parents, and her sister. Investigating officer Ajeet Singh confirmed that the police have initiated a comprehensive investigation and are actively verifying the claims presented in the video.
