Globacom Marks 23 Years with 'Never Settle For Less' Slogan, Fresh Offerings

Telecommunications giant, Globacom, on Wednesday, unveiled a transformative new campaign tagline, "Never Settle For Less," during an event at its corporate headquarters located in Victoria Island, Lagos. The launch coincides with the company's 23rd anniversary this month, and it also served as a platform to introduce several innovative products and services designed to empower Nigerians in their pursuit of excellence and personal objectives.
The "Never Settle For Less" campaign is an inspiring brand message, urging Nigerians to consistently aim for the best in their lives and careers, never compromising on their ambitions. Globacom posits that this mindset is crucial for achieving new milestones, realizing life goals, and thriving in an increasingly competitive global landscape rich with opportunities.
Speaking at the media gathering, Uche Ogwuda, a representative for Globacom, emphasized the pivotal role of digital services in personal transformation. He stated, "digital services have become the magic tool to transform lives, and anyone who understands that success is aided by the application of transformative telecommunication products and services will understand never to settle for less."
Among the products showcased by Glo to demonstrate its commitment to fostering excellence among Nigerians, all are engineered to deliver superior value. The popular Glo Talkmasta “6 for 6” package has been upgraded, now offering subscribers enhanced benefits. Previously, it provided six free call minutes and 50MB data for every six minutes of talk. With the reload, customers will now receive the free six minutes alongside a generous 100MB of data, an increase of 50MB, solidifying its position as Nigeria's best-value tariff plan for talk time combined with free data.
Furthermore, Glo has bolstered its existing service offerings. These enhancements now include 20 minutes of calls across all networks, 2GB of complimentary data, and a free one-month subscription to GloTv Premium.
The company also introduced the Magic Data Bundle, a pioneering telecom product in Nigeria. This innovative data plan guarantees a specific data allocation with every qualifying purchase, complemented by an automatic Magic Bonus Data. While customers are assured of their purchased bundle, they also anticipate an additional bonus, the value of which varies based on a predefined allocation matrix. Ogwuda explained, "The Magic Bonus Data transforms data subscription into a rewarding experience because customers know they will always receive the guaranteed data purchased while also anticipating an additional Magic Bonus." The Magic Data Bundles are available at N1600 and N3500 price points, offering customers between 500MB and 12GB in magic bonuses. Both current and prospective Glo customers can purchase these bundles via the Glo Café App or by dialling *312#.
The Glo Café App, Globacom’s self-service application, has also undergone a significant revamp to improve user experience. The updated app boasts a vibrant, youthful, and user-friendly interface, incorporating new security features and payment options. A standout feature of the new app is Gloria, an AI-powered Voice & Text Assistant – a first for Globacom in Nigeria. Gloria can swiftly address queries and recommend the best offers, supporting five languages: English, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, French, and Spanish. Additionally, the app provides exclusive perks such as 100GB free on first-time registration, a 100% bonus on every recharge, special data bundles like 10GB for N2,500, and an extra 10% data on existing bundles. The Glo Café App is available for download on Google Playstore and Apple App stores.
During the event, several guests shared their personal "Never Settle for Less" experiences. Fashion entrepreneur Mai Atafo recounted his journey from a salaried brand manager role to establishing his own fashion label, a decision that has made him one of Africa's leading suit designers. Dr. Rueben Abati also spoke, noting his consistent drive to push boundaries rather than settling, a philosophy he attributes to his professional achievements. He praised Globacom's sustained commitment to innovation, describing it as the "soul of business" across various sectors, from technology to entertainment, acknowledging Glo's continuous efforts to remain a market leader.
