Davido Endorses Adeleke Spokesman for Osun House of Reps 2027

Foremost Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, globally recognised as Davido, has publicly thrown his support behind human rights attorney Pelumi Olajengbesi's aspiration for a seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections. The music icon conveyed his endorsement via an Instagram story shared on Tuesday, where he referred to Olajengbesi as “My other project” and confidently labeled him a “100% winning ticket.”

Mr. Olajengbesi previously held significant roles, including serving as the convener for the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network within Osun State. He also acted as the official campaign spokesman during Governor Ademola Adeleke's successful re-election bid in the Osun State governorship election held on August 15, 2026. Subsequent to Governor Adeleke's electoral triumph, Davido had also publicly acknowledged Olajengbesi's substantial contributions to the campaign's success on the social media platform, X.

Olajengbesi is currently vying for the opportunity to represent the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the national House of Representatives during the upcoming 2027 general elections, running on the platform of the Accord Party. Should he emerge victorious in 2027, Olajengbesi is set to contend with the long-serving incumbent, Wole Oke of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who has held the constituency's representation in the House of Representatives for an impressive 24-year period.
