In a remarkable turn of events, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has successfully intervened to save the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate from the brink of forfeiture. The estate, which is situated along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway, had been plagued by a longstanding legal dispute over unpaid obligations to the contractor handling its development. However, through the governor's timely intervention, the dispute was settled out of court, and payments were made to secure the state's interest in the property. As a result, the Abiodun administration has not only rescued the project but has also transformed it into a thriving 108-unit modern residential community. The project, which is set to be inaugurated by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, features an array of luxurious amenities, including well-constructed road networks, street lighting, landscaped green areas, clean water supply, waste management facilities, a sporting centre, children's playground, clubhouse, 24-hour power supply, ample parking, and top-notch security within a gated community. The estate comprises 108 four-bedroom fully detached and semi-detached duplexes, each designed with modern architecture and high-quality infrastructure. According to Governor Abiodun, the successful completion of the project demonstrates his administration's commitment to protecting public investments and completing inherited projects. 'This project is part of our administration's commitment to providing quality and affordable housing for different categories of residents, while ensuring that government projects inherited from previous administrations were completed rather than abandoned,' the governor stated. The PMB Estate is strategically located opposite the State Judiciary Complex and close to the Ogun TechHub, providing easy access to major institutional, commercial, and transportation corridors. The development is also attracting private-sector investment, with Access Bank currently developing a training school and other facilities within the estate. With the inauguration of the PMB Estate, the Abiodun administration has once again demonstrated its ability to turn inherited liabilities into productive infrastructure for the people of Ogun State.
