Doris Ogala's Campaign Donation Sparks Refund Controversy

Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala, who is vying for the position of Governor of Abia State, has found herself at the center of a controversy involving a campaign donation. The actress had taken to social media to solicit financial support for her political ambition, providing her account details and emphasizing that every contribution, no matter how small, counts. A Facebook user, identifying himself as a marketing executive, donated the sum of one thousand Naira (N1,000) to her campaign and publicly announced his donation. However, in a surprising turn of events, the donor soon began demanding a refund, giving Doris a 24-hour ultimatum to return his money. In a public post, he wrote, 'Doris Ogala, You have 24 hrs to refund my donation Send me back my money!! This is not a character of a Governor.' Doris, in her response, expressed her gratitude for the initial donation but also acknowledged that she suspected the donor's intention was to mock her. She replied, 'After all my prayer for you. May God refund you in your own coin.' The exchange has sparked a debate about the nature of political donations and the expectations of donors.
