In a recent interview with Fox News, US Vice President JD Vance opened up about his journey back to Christianity, revealing that his wife, Usha Vance, played a significant role in his spiritual journey. According to Vance, his wife's focus was not on his professional achievements, but rather on his character. He stated that Usha never measured his worth by his career ambitions or public accomplishments, instead, she wanted him to become a 'good man.' This realization, Vance said, ultimately led him to desire being a good husband and father, which in turn, drew him back to Christianity. Vance emphasized that his return to faith was a gradual process, saying, 'And that really is what led me back, but it was a slow, slow process.' Usha Vance, who was raised in a Hindu household, has spoken about how her husband's religious journey affected their relationship. In an interview with CBS reporter Robert Costa, she mentioned that she did not experience the same search for faith as her husband. The couple, who have been married since 2014 and share four children, have navigated their different religious backgrounds together. JD Vance has previously spoken about spending years searching for something that felt 'rooted' and 'stable,' and he believes that Christianity has provided him with the answers he was seeking. As he reflected on his journey, Vance said, 'My wife didn't care whether I was super successful, whether I became the vice president or a best-selling author or successful in business.' What mattered most to her, he said, was his character, and he wanted to be a good husband and father. Vance's story highlights the importance of relationships and personal growth in one's spiritual journey.
