Tinubu Set to Receive Overwhelming Support from North in 2027 Election

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has expressed confidence that the North will give President Bola Tinubu a landslide victory in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking during the launch of the 122-kilometre Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road project, Sani stated that the North would deliver at least 95 per cent of its votes to Tinubu. He attributed this anticipated support to the president's performance, particularly in the area of infrastructure development in Kaduna State. The governor noted that the Federal Government's investment in roads and other projects in the state had positively impacted the lives of residents. Sani said, 'We have to be happy with what he has done for us and whether we like it or not, Kaduna is the capital of Northern Nigeria. Everyone is proud of Kaduna.' He emphasized that the development of Kaduna was a development for all states in Northern Nigeria, and the people were grateful to the president for recognizing the state's strategic importance. The governor highlighted several ongoing and planned road projects in the state, including the Western Bypass and the Eastern Bypass, which are being undertaken by the Federal Ministry of Works. Sani maintained that Tinubu had done more for Northern Nigeria than any previous president, citing various projects and investments in the region. He challenged anyone to contradict his assertion, saying, 'About two weeks ago, I came out boldly and said no president in the history of Nigeria has done what Tinibu did for us here in Northern Nigeria, and I challenge anyone to come up with anything contrary to what I have said.' The governor's comments reflect the growing support for Tinibu in the North ahead of the 2027 general election.
