Tinubu's Aide, Olusegun Dada, Loses Father, Gets Presidential Condolences

The Nigerian Presidency has extended its condolences to Olusegun Dada, the Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, over the passing of his father, Chief Idowu Folorunsho Dada, at the ripe age of 91. This gesture was made known through a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, on Tuesday. Earlier that day, Segun Dada had taken to X to announce the demise of his father with a heartfelt post, saying, 'Goodnight Dad. Till we meet to never part again. Say hello to mum.' President Tinubu, in his condolence message, eulogized the late Chief Dada as a paragon of integrity, discipline, and compassion, whose life was a testament to these virtues. Chief Dada had a distinguished career, notably serving as a Sales Manager at NEXAN Kablemetal Nigeria Plc, where he earned the respect and admiration of his peers and colleagues. The President also recognized Chief Dada's role as a devoted father and mentor, who instilled sound moral values in his children, including Olusegun Dada. As stated in the presidential statement, 'President Tinubu acknowledges Chief Dada’s invaluable contributions as a loving father and mentor who nurtured his children, including his son, Segun Dada, with sound moral values. The President also notes Chief Dada’s commitment to the Church and his exemplary family values.' President Tinubu prayed for the soul of the deceased to rest in peace and for comfort to be bestowed upon the bereaved family. He further extended his heartfelt condolences to the children of the late Chief Dada and the extended family, urging them to find solace in the legacy of service and good name left behind by their patriarch. Specifically, he consoled Segun Dada, saying, 'I extend my heartfelt condolences to the children of Pa Dada and the extended family members over the transition of their patriarch. I especially console Segun at this difficult time for the family. The family should find comfort in the legacy of service and good name left behind by Chief Dada.'
