Trump Loses Cool, Abandons Interview Over 'Rigged' Election Claims

In a dramatic turn of events, United States President Donald Trump abruptly ended an interview with NBC's Kristen Welker on Meet the Press. The confrontation began when Welker questioned Trump about his assertions that the delayed California election results were 'rigged.' Trump responded by launching a scathing attack on the media, stating, 'The elections are like a third-world country. Your elections are crooked and you’re crooked and Meet the Press is crooked and so is ABC and CBS and CNN. You are one-sided crooked networks…let’s call it quits. I’ve had enough. Thank you darling have a good time.' Despite Welker's attempts to persuade him to stay, Trump refused, citing that he had already given her sufficient time and that the press needed to be 'straightened out.' He further emphasized that a country cannot be great with a dishonest press. Trump also made claims about wiping out Iran's military forces, stating that their navy, air force, and anti-aircraft systems were 'gone.' However, according to NBC analysis, approximately half of Iran's unconventional navy remains intact. Trump's statements were in contrast to his earlier campaign pledge not to start new wars, with him now justifying his actions by referencing the strength of the US military. The heated exchange ended with Trump storming out of the interview, leaving many to question his stance on the media and international relations.
