On Tuesday, the United States military initiated a series of strikes targeting Iran, a move confirmed by U.S. Central Command. These operations were declared a direct response to earlier Iranian aggression against three commercial ships navigating the critical Strait of Hormuz.

According to a statement from the U.S. military, "U.S. Central Command forces have begun launching a series of powerful strikes against Iran to impose heavy costs for targeting and attacking commercial shipping." The statement further condemned Iran's actions, describing their "demonstrated aggression" as "unwarranted, dangerous, and a clear violation of the ceasefire."

While American authorities refrained from immediately disclosing the precise targets, reports from Iranian state media indicated that six projectiles impacted the vicinity of the Taheroui pier in Sirik, a location in southern Iran.
