United States President Donald Trump has refuted claims suggesting a scarcity of munitions within the nation's military arsenal. In a social media update shared on Thursday morning, the former President also pledged to pursue lengthy prison sentences for individuals suspected of leaking sensitive information.

He asserted, "The U.S. has massive amounts of 'munitions,' especially of certain types." Trump further added that "large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the US as needed."

This declaration comes as both Trump and the Pentagon face increasing scrutiny regarding the condition of the military's weaponry, particularly with an ongoing conflict now in its sixth month and a peace resolution yet to be achieved.

Reacting to reports concerning dwindling American supplies, Iran affirmed its capacity to counter "any threat" using its domestically produced weaponry. Majid Ibn-e-Reza, Iran's Defence Minister, posted on X, stating, "Each day, the signs of the enemy's diminishing capabilities become more apparent. But our Armed Forces — backed by the nation's defence industry — are fully equipped to respond to any threat."

He further elaborated that "those who are now seeking to buy security and military superiority through imported systems will soon realise that Iran's indigenous technology is superior to any system in the region."
