Ex-Minister Kemi Adeosun Pays Tribute to Late Husband

The former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has expressed her deep sadness and gratitude following the passing of her husband, Adeniyi Adeosun. Speaking during his funeral service, Adeosun described her late husband's death as a painful experience, but also expressed her thankfulness for the years they spent together. Adeniyi Adeosun passed away on August 5 at the age of 62. According to his wife, he was not ill before his death and had simply gone to bed without waking up. Recalling her visit to the mortuary, Adeosun found her late husband with a peaceful expression, which she described as a comforting sight. The couple had planned to travel more frequently, with their 33rd wedding anniversary approaching. Adeosun remembered her husband as a 'mischievous human being' who always brought laughter into their home. She shared a memorable incident during a trip to the United States where Adeniyi pretended to be disabled to avoid a long immigration queue. Adeosun expressed her gratitude to God for her husband's life, their marriage, children, and the support of their family and friends. The funeral service, which held in Lagos, was attended by prominent figures, including Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, who had earlier visited Kemi Adeosun to condole with her over the loss. Adeniyi Adeosun is survived by his wife, children, and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, the founder of Kuramo Capital. The Adeosun family announced his death in a statement, describing him as a respected businessman and devoted Christian whose life touched many.
