Nigerian Mum's Unconventional Diaper Reuse Method Sparks Online Outrage

A Nigerian mother, Chiamaka Maryjane, has found herself at the center of a heated debate online after sharing her unusual method for saving money on diapers for her son. According to Chiamaka, her baby boy rarely defecates, but she still needs to use diapers to keep him dry and comfortable when he urinates. However, she expressed frustration at the cost of frequently disposing of half-soaked diapers, stating that she often throws away at least five of them daily. In an effort to reduce waste and save money, Chiamaka revealed that she has started sun-drying the used diapers and then reusing them, with the previously unsoaked side now facing forward and the dried side at the back. She claimed that this unorthodox approach has significantly reduced her expenses. Chiamaka's Facebook post, in which she shared her concerns and her solution, has attracted attention from women worldwide, many of whom have strongly criticized her approach. In her post, Chiamaka wrote, 'Wearing my baby boy diapers is a total waste of money. My baby boy hardly poo. But I still have to wear him diapers to keep him comfortable and dry when he urinates. Yet he keeps wasting diapers. His diapers are always half soaked. Disposing them is usually hard for me because I feel am wasting money on diapers always. Every day I dispose not less than 5 half soaked diapers. I think there should a kind of diaper specifically made for baby boys. This will reduce cost. So recently I started sun drying the used diapers and when it dries I turn the other side that was not soaked and I reuse it as the front part while the other part that was sun dried as the back part of diaper. This has really saved me a lot of money.' Her post has sparked a lively discussion, with many expressing their disapproval of her method.
