Ghanaian Woman Belinda Elikplim Transforms After Leaving 'Dracula Partner', Shares Story

Ghanaian woman, Belinda Abla Elikplim, has recently captivated online audiences by sharing a powerful narrative of her personal transformation three years after the conclusion of her marriage. Through a series of striking "before and after" photographs, she detailed her journey, highlighting her ex-husband's harsh parting words and the immense, unconditional support she received from her mother.
In a Facebook post dated Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Elikplim recounted the moment her former husband dismissed her. She quoted him saying, "You won't survive in Accra without me," and "Nobody can be with you and tolerate you," before he contacted her mother, asking her to come for her daughter.
However, her mother, affectionately known as Mama Dzifa, proved to be an extraordinary pillar of strength. Belinda shared her mother's remarkable actions: "My mom said, 'Hold my bag, release 30k to pay my rent for 2 years, furnished my room, stocked my kitchen every month with food, monthly stipends in addition to my salary, she made sure I finished my first degree successfully, further enrolled me to do my masters, and now the backbone to my business.'" Belinda further expressed her gratitude, stating, "I'm not her favourite child but she will never let me chop disgrace. It's exactly 3 years now and Mama Dzifa is my woman king and a motivation that you need a mom who has small money to face life."
Elikplim’s photographic journey visually illustrates her transformation. She described her state before meeting her ex-husband as "Size 14, cute and happy." During her time in her ex-husband’s home, at age 25, she revealed a drastic decline in her well-being, becoming "Size 22, emotionally abused, high cortisol, insulin resistance, hyperpigmentation, gut issues, menstrual issues, acne all over the face, emotional eating." Today, three years post-marriage, she presents as "size 16, no filter, clear skin, healthy guts, sound mind and just my raw face after a beautiful braid."
Concluding her post with a powerful message, Belinda urged others in similar situations: "This is your sign to leave your Dracula partner." She acknowledged that not everyone possesses a robust support system like hers but offered encouragement: "If you like, Don't fear men and see. I know a lot of people can't bounce back because they Don't have a support system like mine. But listen girl, you can do it. Make a plan and stick to it. Husband House vrs on my own."
