Elderly Igbo Woman in US Yearns for Life Back in Nigeria

A heartwarming video has surfaced online, showcasing an elderly Igbo woman residing in the United States, who has expressed her deep-seated desire to return to her homeland, Nigeria. The woman, who was visibly homesick, was recorded by her daughter, as she poured out her heart, stating her preference for life in Nigeria over the comforts of her current abode in America. Despite her daughter's attempts to highlight the benefits of living in the US, such as steady power supply, air conditioning, and a comfortable environment, the elderly woman remained resolute in her decision. 'What will I use light and air conditioner to do? All I need in Nigeria is to be with my fellow women. If there are places to visit, we do so together. I don't need anything here,' she said, underscoring her longing for the company of her peers and the familiarity of her native land.
