In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Trump downplayed the notion, stating that 'We possess significantly more munitions than any other country globally, and far more than we require.' This statement comes on the heels of a report that General Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had alerted the White House about dwindling stockpiles of air defense interceptors. Trump also took to his Truth Social platform to share AI-generated visuals that appeared to depict assaults on Iranian installations, including the capture of an Iranian oil tanker and an attack on the Kharg Island oil export terminal. One of the images showed Trump standing on a tanker with a US flag, while another image featured fighter jets targeting the Kharg facility.
