🇿🇦 UPDATE:

South African Police officers have been seen retrieving the body of the alleged victim, identified by members of the Nigerian community as Chika Ibe, from Parksig Villas Complex in Bellville, Cape Town.

According to members of the Nigerian community, Chika Ibe was allegedly strangled to death during the police operation on Thursday, 23 July 2026.

Separately, another Nigerian man was shot in the mouth during the same operation.
