Over a Dozen Hospitalized After Chainsmokers Concert in San Jose

A total of fourteen individuals were admitted to various medical facilities following a series of health emergencies that occurred during The Chainsmokers' performance in San Jose, California, United States of America. The incident took place on Friday evening, September 4, as the popular electronic music duo performed at Discovery Meadow.

According to reports from the San Jose Fire Department, concertgoers began requiring urgent medical attention around 8:22 p.m. Due to the increasing number of patients, the department promptly requested additional ambulance services and advanced life-support units. Ultimately, fourteen ambulances were dispatched to the scene, transporting all fourteen affected individuals to hospitals for treatment.

Local law enforcement officials informed media outlets that some of these medical incidents were suspected to be linked to alcohol intoxication and drug-related issues. However, authorities have refrained from disclosing the current medical conditions of those who were hospitalized.

The concert commenced at 5 p.m., with emergency response operations concluding around 10:34 p.m. Police officers were also on ground to assist with managing traffic flow during the emergency. No arrests have been made in connection with these events.

This incident in San Jose follows another recent performance by The Chainsmokers in Palm Springs, which occurred less than a month prior. In that instance, nine people sustained injuries, with seven requiring hospitalisation, after bottles were reportedly thrown into the crowd. As of now, The Chainsmokers have not issued any public statement regarding the hospitalisations in San Jose.
