Chinonso Onuoha Exposes Ex-Husband's Alleged Childbirth Mistreatment: Epidural Refusal, C-Section Threat

Nigerian mother of two, Chinonso Onuoha, has publicly recounted a distressing experience from her previous marriage, detailing how her ex-husband allegedly subjected her to mistreatment during the birth of one of their children. On Friday, September 25, 2026, Onuoha shared her ordeal via a Facebook post, claiming her former spouse explicitly forbade her from accepting an epidural. She further alleged that he became enraged when she cried out in agony as her labour pains intensified.

According to Onuoha, her ex-husband issued a severe warning, stating he would not provide care for her if a C-section became necessary for delivery. She also claimed that following the successful birth of their baby, he denied her a comforting hug.

Onuoha narrated the events, writing, "He had warned me beforehand not to accept an epidural, so when the doctor told me I had dilated enough to be given one, I said no." She continued to describe the escalating tension: "When I was in pain and screaming and crying, he got really mad at me and warned me that if they performed a C-section, he wouldn’t take care of me."

Recalling a specific moment of despair, she added, "When I told him in Igbo that I was tired, he got even more upset and said, ‘If they hear you saying that and perform a C-section.’" The mother of two concluded her account of the childbirth experience with a poignant detail: "After I had my baby, I begged him for a hug, and he said no." This public revelation has drawn significant attention to the emotional and physical challenges women can face during childbirth, sometimes exacerbated by unsupportive partners.
