Full Story

A Nigerian woman has taken to social media platforms, specifically Facebook, to seek public assistance in locating a man she accuses of stealing her mobile phone during a date. Lucy Paul identified the individual by his Facebook name, Fidelis DC, the same platform where their initial connection was made and where she is now making her urgent appeal.

Paul shared images of the man along with screenshots of his Facebook profile, providing a detailed account of the alleged incident. According to her post, which she implored users to widely share, the theft reportedly occurred on October 6, 2026.

In her plea, Lucy Paul stated, "please, this man right here stole my phone on the 6th of October 2026. I met him here,He asked me out on a date then asked for my phone to make an urgent call, stepped out while making the call and that's the last time I saw him please help me share this post until he is caught."

Paul elaborated that after they had agreed to meet for a date, Fidelis DC requested to use her phone for what he claimed was an urgent call. He then walked away, seemingly engrossed in the conversation, but never reappeared, leaving Paul without her device. She is now relying on the collective effort of social media users to help apprehend him and recover her stolen property.
