Burlington Home Engulfed in Flames, Displacing Nine People and a Cat

A devastating house fire broke out in Burlington, Vermont, in the early hours of Thursday morning, leaving nine people and a cat without a home. The fire, which was reported around 2 a.m., ravaged a house on S. Winooski Avenue, with flames shooting out of the windows on the first floor and spreading to the second floor. According to fire officials, the blaze also moved along the outside of the building, causing smoke to billow out from multiple floors and sides. The property owner and the Red Cross were quick to respond to the scene, providing assistance to those affected. Unfortunately, one person was taken to the hospital due to possible smoke inhalation. The Burlington Fire Marshal's Office has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. The displaced individuals are currently receiving support from the property owner and the Red Cross.
