Abuja Canal Horror: 29-Year-Old Sociology Graduate Found Dead

A devastating incident has occurred in Abuja, where the lifeless body of 29-year-old Blessing Moshood, a Sociology graduate from Kogi State University, was discovered in a canal at Jikwoyi. According to Abigail Moshood, the sister of the deceased, Blessing had left their home around 8 pm on Thursday after receiving a phone call. About an hour later, she called to inform her family that she would be returning home briefly to pick up her phone charger, which she had forgotten. However, she failed to return home the following day, prompting her family to become worried. It was later discovered that a woman's body had been found in a canal, and upon description of the hairstyle, the family suspected it might be Blessing. The body was found half-naked, with only a top on, and was taken to a mortuary in Mararaba, Nasarawa State, by policemen from the Jikwoyi Police Station. Abigail visited the police station and was shown photographs of the deceased, confirming that it was indeed her sister. Neighbors described Blessing as an intelligent and friendly person, who graduated with a Second Class Upper in Sociology. The FCT Police Command spokesperson, SP Josephine, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is ongoing. Another neighbor, Abdullahi Musa, has called on the police to increase security measures in the area to prevent further crimes.
