Nasarawa Revenue Service Staff Locked Out Over Punctuality Drive in Lafia

Full Story
Staff members of the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS) found themselves locked out of their main office in Lafia on Thursday, October 15, 2026, after arriving late for work. The action was reportedly a direct instruction from the Executive Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Sarki, who had resumed duty several minutes before the official start time of 9:00 a.m.
Investigations revealed that at the time the Chairman arrived, many senior officials, including Directors, were not yet in their respective offices. Insiders within the Service confirmed that the decision to lock the gate was part of a broader initiative by the Chairman to instill a culture of discipline and punctuality among the agency's workforce.
