Kwara Kidn*p: Newlyweds, Four Others Seized by Gunmen

A newly married couple, identified as Reverend Abiodun David and Funmilayo Bamidele, along with four other individuals, have reportedly been kidn*pped by armed assailants in Kwara State. The incident occurred on the Eruku-Iyemero Road on Saturday evening, September 26, 2026.

Sources close to the event revealed that the group was en route from Eruku, where the couple had just held their engagement ceremony, when they were accosted. It was gathered that the vehicle transporting them was initially slated to use the Isanlu Road. However, the driver opted for an alternative route, a back road, with the intention of dropping off the best man and other members of their party in Iyamoye before proceeding with the rest of the journey.
