Kaduna's Wasa Forest Yields Man's Corpse, Robbery Suspected

Authorities have reported the discovery of a deceased individual, identified as Mallam Ishaku, within the Wasa Forest located in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State. According to security sources who spoke with Zagazola Makama, the remains were found around 9:30 a.m. on September 23, 2026. Troops from Sector 7, specifically Sub-Sector 71, Sanga, stationed at Wasa Station, made the grim discovery while conducting a routine patrol of the vicinity.

Initial investigations suggest that Mallam Ishaku was likely attacked by unknown assailants, who subsequently made away with his Boxer motorcycle. The full circumstances surrounding this fatal incident, along with the identities of those responsible, are currently under active investigation by security agencies.

Following its discovery, the body was promptly removed from the scene and transferred to the Keystone Wasa Divisional Police for further necessary procedures. Law enforcement officials are expected to intensify their efforts to pinpoint and apprehend the individuals involved in both the killing and the theft of the motorcycle.
