Arkansas Pair Charged After 12-Year-Old Abducted, R@ped and Found Terrified

An Arkansas couple, Brandon Lee Britten, 31, and Sierra Dawn Britten, 28, are currently facing serious charges following the alleged abduction and r@pe of a 12-year-old girl. The child was reportedly discovered distressed and "shaking" inside their residence, pleading for her mother. The couple, who share a young son, are accused of grooming the minor online for several months.

According to an affidavit obtained by KAIT, the Brittens reportedly engaged with the girl online by posing as a 15-year-old boy who claimed to be romantically interested in her. This online interaction involved the exchange of nud£ images. On September 8, 2026, the couple allegedly travelled to Spartanburg, South Carolina, where they abducted the girl from her home. They then drove her for approximately 700 miles, transporting her to their home located in Independence County, Arkansas.

Upon arrival at their Arkansas residence, Brandon Britten is accused of r@ping the child. The affidavit states that during this incident, his wife, Sierra, was reportedly "slept in their young son’s bedroom." The next day, police, acting on an initial abduction report, utilized Flock cameras to trace the Brittens' black Chevy Malibu to their home. When officers arrived, Sierra Britten allegedly obstructed their entry, preventing them from "locating the 12-year-old."

Lt. Zach Rawlins of the Independence County Sheriff’s Office detailed in the affidavit that Sierra "actively resisting, had to be physically removed from the home so the minor could be located." The young girl was subsequently found in a bathroom, "shaking" with her face and hands pressed against the wall. Lt. Rawlins recounted the girl's words, stating, "After telling her who I was, the minor thanked me for coming to get her and said she wanted her mama." Further corroboration came from "Evidence later recovered pursuant to a search warrant of the home and medical examination corroborated the child’s story," as noted by Rawlins. The girl has since been reunited with her family.

Sierra Britten initially told authorities she believed the child was 18 years old, but later altered her statement, claiming she thought the girl was 14. It is important to note that the age of consent in both South Carolina and Arkansas is 16. Sierra also admitted to engaging in online chats with the girl, exchanging nud£ images, and organizing the trip to South Carolina around her work schedule. Both Brandon and Sierra Britten are facing charges of traveling for the purpose of an unlawful s£x act with a minor and internet stalking of a child. Brandon Britten is additionally charged with r@pe, while Sierra Britten faces a charge of accomplice to r@pe. Both individuals are currently being held on a $1 million bail.
