Diddy Linked to Tupac's 1996 Killing as Prosecutors Suggest Revenge Motive in Trial

Music executive Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been listed as a potential witness in the murd£r trial of iconic rapper Tupac Shakur. The prosecution has drawn a connection between Combs and Duane 'Keffe D' Davis, who is accused of orchestrating the fatal shooting. Opening statements recently commenced in the much-anticipated legal proceedings concerning the 1996 drive-by incident that led to the death of the 'California Love' sensation.
Davis faces one count of murd£r, specifically with the use of a deadly weapon and the intention to promote, further, or assist a criminal gang. Prosecutors are working to establish his role in arranging the sho0ting. The trial officially began in Las Vegas last week, nearly three decades after the then 25-year-old musician was gunned down. Shakur was a passenger in a BMW driven by former Death Row Records boss Suge Knight at the time of the attack.
Prior to the incident on September 7, 1996, Tupac had been in Las Vegas to attend a Mike Tyson boxing match at the MGM Grand. Hours later, a white Cadillac reportedly pulled alongside Knight's vehicle, and gunfire erupted. Tupac Shakur succumbed to his injuries six days following the attack.
Davis, aged 63, a former leader of the South Side Compton Crips, is the sole individual ever charged in connection with Shakur's k!lling. While prosecutors contend he ordered the revenge attack and supplied the weapon used, they do not allege that he was the one who pulled the trigger. Davis has entered a plea of not guilty, and if convicted, he could face a life sentence in prison.
