Ekiti Command Probes Whereabouts of Missing 19-Year-Old

Authorities in Ekiti State, specifically the Police Command, have launched a full-scale investigation into the unexplained disappearance of Ms. Dandam Happiness, a 19-year-old woman. She was last seen on August 10, 2026, and her location remains unknown.

SP Sunday Abutu, who serves as the Police Public Relations Officer for the command, confirmed this development in a statement released on Monday from Ado Ekiti. Abutu's statement detailed that Happiness departed from her home in Ado Ekiti around 4:00 PM on August 10th and has not been seen since. The official statement quoted, “She left her residence in Ado Ekiti on 10th August, 2026, at about 16.00 hours (4pm), to an unknown destination and has not returned since then.”

The police provided a description of the young woman, stating she is 19 years old, stands approximately 4.5 feet tall, and has a fair complexion. They also noted she has no tribal marks and is fluent in English. Despite numerous attempts by her family and acquaintances to trace her whereabouts, all efforts have so far yielded no results.

Abutu affirmed that the command has initiated an inquiry aimed at determining her location and facilitating her safe reunion with her family. He further quoted the command saying, “The Command has begun an investigation to unravel her whereabouts.”

The police spokesperson earnestly called on the public, asking anyone with valuable information regarding Happiness’ current location to reach out to the closest police station or dial +2349064050086. Additionally, he appealed to residents to widely disseminate this information, hoping it will aid the police, her family, and friends in successfully locating the missing young woman.
