The spouse of prominent wedding photographer, David Martins, has come forward with serious allegations of domestic violence and abuse against him. She claims to have endured years of physical, verbal, and psychological maltreatment throughout their marriage. According to her statement, the alleged abuse culminated in an attack on May 7, 2026, where she states Martins assaulted her while she was holding their three-month-old son. For three years, she chose to remain silent, hoping to safeguard her husband's public image. However, she explained that her decision to speak out now stems from the realization that her silence was no longer protecting her or her child. She further revealed that Martins maintained a public persona online as a loving and faith-driven individual, which starkly contrasted with his behavior within their home. The matter, she confirmed, has been officially reported to the Lagos Police Gender Unit, as well as the US Embassy and Canadian Embassy. She also stated that she possesses photographic and video evidence to support her claims. Expressing gratitude, she thanked friends and family who assisted her and her son in leaving their residence and provided crucial financial and other forms of support. She concluded her statement emphatically, stating, “This is not gossip to me. This is not entertainment. This is not social media drama. This is my life. This is my son's life. And this is our truth to tell.”
