Nigerian Woman in Ghana Accused of Child Sale for GH¢2,000

The accusation states she received GH¢2,000, which translates to N232,000, for the child. Community members were instrumental in her apprehension, having grown suspicious about the child's absence. In a separate but related incident, one resident recounted how the same Nigerian woman reportedly tried to sell her child for 500 cedis in their vicinity but quickly absconded when confronted with the possibility of being reported to social welfare services.
