Owerri Court Remands Man for Alleged S£xual Extortion, Nud£ Photo Blackmail

A 28-year-old individual has been ordered to be held in custody by a Magistrate Court in Owerri following accusations of s£xual extortion. The suspect, identified as Uzochukwu Ikenna Wisdom, faces allegations of distributing explicit images of his female partners across social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok.
According to the Virgin Heart Foundation, an Owerri-based non-governmental organization, Wisdom is reportedly in the habit of recording young women during private and intimate moments. He then allegedly uses these videos to threaten them whenever disagreements arise.
The NGO further detailed in a statement that the law caught up with him when he uploaded nud£ images of his girlfriend of two years online, with the intention of selling them to adult websites. Upon his arrest and investigation, police officers reportedly discovered numerous explicit videos of other young women, believed to be additional victims, on his mobile device.
Marjorie Ezihe of the Sisters with the Goal Initiative and the Virgin Heart Foundation are collaborating to provide support and stability to the primary victim. This intervention became crucial after it was discovered that she had made multiple attempts to end her life. The Virgin Heart Foundation also shared a video featuring the suspect's former girlfriend, who recounted her ordeal and how she nearly succumbed to suicide after he began blackmailing her with her explicit content.
The video's caption highlighted the severity of the issue: "Digital abuse and s£xual extortion is a weapon some abusive men device against their victims. A student of Imo State University has attempted suiccccciddddde several times because her boyfriend of two years posted her nuuuuuuddde videos on TikTok and Facebook. The magistrate court in Owerri has remanded him. When police arrested this perpetrator and investigating him, they saw so many videos of young girls in his phone. This is the story of his girl friend and victim."
